  • The Stunning Valley: The picturesque Great Rift Valley stands majestically as a backdrop to the town, giving it a magical scenario.  The gorge is dotted with dozens of attractions that draw tourists to it.  The Cherangani Hills are inside the valley, and to the west of the Lake, Baringo is where the Tugen Hills is located.  The Tugen Hills contain fossils that have been preserved in lava flows for millions of years.
  • The Volcanoes Sites: A chain of volcanoes have their homes around the Great Rift Valley, and some of these volcanoes are still active.  Andisols, which are fertile soils seen around recent volcanic activities are found here. Lake Turkana has volcanoes while the shield volcano Emuruangogolak can be found south of Suguta. From the floor of the valley rises Paka, a shield volcano with geothermal activity.
  • The Flower Farms: around the freshwater lake are one of the popular attractions in Naivasha. The lake shores are surrounded by the flower farms, thatch houses, and old colonial houses. The scenic landscape of the lake is dotted with massive white strips of nylon polytunnels filled with beautiful roses.  The beauty of the flower plantations has made the town one of the romantic places to visit in Kenya. The flower farming destroyed the original migratory paths, which had been restored by Naturalist, Joan Root.
  • Abundant Birdlife: Naivasha is home to over 450 unique bird species including migratory birds.  The most prominent birds are the pelicans, cormorants and the African fish eagles. You’ll discover a variety of birds as you explore the acacia forests such as woodpeckers, cuckoos, shrikes, hawks and many others.
