Paje Beach

Paje Beach is one of Zanzibar’s most beautiful beaches, with a long stretch of white sand, crystal-clear waters, and steady side shore wind. Protected by coral reefs, the beach is a tropical paradise, offering tourists a wide range of water activities such as surfing, swimming, fishing, snorkelling, and diving. It’s lined with beach bars and cafes where you can relax and unwind during the day.

Menai Bay

Take a day trip to Menai Bay, a marine protected area, and a conservation sanctuary for bottlenose and humpback dolphins. The bay features rugged island scenery, isolated sand banks, inhabited islets, and pristine marine life. You can indulge in some exciting water activities here including snorkelling, sailing, and swimming.

Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park

Jozani Chwaka Bay is the only National Park in Zanzibar, and it’s well-known for the rare Red Colobus Monkeys, and Sykes Monkeys as well as a wide range of butterfly species and bird species. It’s definitely a place to visit during your holiday on the island.

Mnemba Atoll

Mnemba Atoll is one of the best places to go snorkelling on Zanzibar Island. You can take a traditional Dhow sailing boat across the crystal turquoise water to Mnemba Atoll for an opportunity to spot dolphins, see the colourful coral and snorkel to explore the marine underworld.

Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit Zanzibar is from June to October during the cool, dry months of spring. Another popular time to visit this tropical island is from December to February when it’s hot and dry.

You can scuba dive off the coast in July and August and in February and March. Diving off the north coast is from June to October and off the south coast between November and March.
