Diverse aquatic life:

Aquatic sea life flourishes within Mombasa and numerous species are represented, such as sea urchin, crab, starfish, octopus, jellyfish, sea cucumber and many more. The flourishing coral attracts an assortment of fish, such as multi-coloured angelfish, green parrotfish, butterfly fish, zebrafish, lionfish and small damselfish. A portion of the more significant marine life includes shark, rays, various turtles, and dolphins, including bottlenose, spinner, and humpback.

Beautiful corals:

The different hues, shapes, and sizes of the coral are fantastic, and a portion of the species that you may find in the Indian Ocean are the brain coral, pavonia coral, open-branched stag's horn coral, Acropora coral and Favia coral.

Lush vegetation:

Seagrasses, sea waters, mangroves, seaweeds and marine algae account for the lush vegetation seen in the marine park. 

Birdlife:

Many seabirds in their large nesting colonies and significant numbers of crab plover and roseate tern make their home within the marine park.

Beaches border Mombasa Marine Park on the north and south. Endless crescents of silver sand flanked by lavish beach coastal hotels; and with direct access to the coral gardens of the reef. Shanzu Beach is very popular with sea turtles, which come there to lay their eggs.
