Distance and Flight Time
The flight route from the Seronera airstrip in the mighty Serengeti to Kigali (which sits to the west of Tanzania) takes around 4 h 20m, direct, covering a distance of 685 km, or 426 miles. However, there are not many if any direct flights between these two airports and your best option would be to travel via a hub airport which can take anywhere between 9 hours and 24 hours.

If you prefer to get a better lay of the land you can also travel by road by hiring a car or booking a bus, travelling by road which will travel around Lake Victoria you will have to cover around 816 kilometres which should take you just over 16 hours and 17 minutes to complete.
The alternative would be to drive to drive to Mwanza take a ferry across Lake Victoria to Bukoba and then drive from Bukoba to Kigali which would be the last leg of your journey
